We Can’t Match JB for Turning Silver Into Gold
EDITORS' NOTE: Imagine you send your children overseas to study and they send you to JB to "retire" when you are old ! Living in a nursing home is bad enough, it will be a living hell to spend one's twilight years in a nursing home alone in a foreign land with no relatives or friends around. Source: myPAP
The graciousness of our transport companies
EDITORS' NOTE: Our transport companies have indeed made a "great sacrifice" by earning SGD $22 million less a year as a result of the reduction in transport fares. Just wonder how much profit they will still make at the end of the year and if any PAP MPs are major shareholders of these companies. Source: My sketchbook
Singapore fare reduction
EDITORS' NOTE: The transport companies are indeed "compassionate" enough to reduce the transport fares which will save Singaporeans $14.60 a year if they make 2 trips a day, $21.90 for 3 trips a day...hey wait, how many people actually make more than 4 trips a day ??? Even if one make the maximum number of trips for 6 days, one will save only $43.80 a year which is hardly enough to cover for GST on the daily necessities ! Source: Singapore Motivational Posters
Mr.Practical and logic of nursing homes in JB
EDITORS' NOTE: Isn't shipping our elderly to Malaysia an admission of the failure of the Ministry of Health to provide cheap and affordable nursing homes for Singapoerans ? In a recent survey done by The Enquirer TV, over 90% of elderly interviewed preferred to live in Singapore. Mr Khaw should ask himself if he wants to retire in Malaysia. Oops, we forgot he is a Malaysian by birth, may be he should consider returning to Penang. We can get a cheaper minister who can come up with a better idea. Source: My Sketchbook
